Sennefer, petit provincial, devenu maire de Th\u00e8bes et ami du roi Amenhotep II, dort dans la Vall\u00e9e des Nobles (TT96). Sa tombe, surnomm\u00e9e la tombe aux vignes, surpasse les autres sur le plan artistique. J\u2019ai choisi de m\u2019inspirer des plafonds, ils repr\u00e9sentent la transition entre le monde des vivants et le monde souterrain sur lequel le Ka, l’\u00e9nergie vitale, se diffuse. Ici, l\u2019ivresse de la treille de vigne vient rompre la g\u00e9om\u00e9trie d\u2019une vie juste, int\u00e8gre et droite. Le plateau en bois, irr\u00e9gulier comme la pierre, en un cercle parfait \u00e9voque le cycle de la vie et des saisons. Les peintres de sa tombe renaissent \u00e0 chaque visite, \u00e0 chaque mention du nom Sennefer.<\/p>\n

Sennefer, who was born in a small town and became Mayor of Thebes and friend with the pharaoh Amenhotep II, sleeps in the Valley of the Nobles (TT96). Nicknamed the tomb of the vineyards, his tomb artisticly surpasses the others. I drew my inspiration from the ceilings, they represent a transition between the world of the living and the underground and a canvas on which the vital force, the \u201cKa\u201d spreads out. Here, the exhilarating wander of the vine disrupts the geometry of a just, honest and righteous life. The wooden texture of the platter is as irregular as stone and the circular shape evokes the cycle of life and of seasons. The tomb\u2019s painters are brought back to life with each visit, each utterance of the name Sennefer.<\/p>\n
